BANKWARE
AND DCM ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE FOR CHECK IMAGING
DCM
to offer integrated software solution to financial institutions,
increasing BankWare’s distribution channel and expanding market
penetration
Birmingham,
AL and Lansing, MI (May 7, 2003) – BankWare,
a leading provider of Browser-based check imaging solutions, and Diverse
Computer Marketers, Inc. (DCM), a leading provider of technology
solutions to financial institutions, announced today a strategic
alliance for check imaging and disaster recovery services.
DCM
will install and provide the full suite of BankWare’s ImageCentre
check imaging solutions at their Lansing, Michigan and Indianapolis,
Indiana based data centers to service existing DCM check imaging
clients. DCM will also market ImageCentre to prospective financial
institutions in three distinct operating environments: (1) as a complete
outsourced solution, (2) a complete in-house solution, or (3) as an
Application Service Provider (ASP).
“We
have been extremely thorough and methodical in evaluating a new imaging
solution for our data centers and to offer to financial institutions in
our area,” said Lance Thomson, President of DCM. “BankWare’s
ImageCentre, with its unique Browser-based design, provides an unmatched
level of flexibility and capability to financial institutions and data
centers. With three feature-rich implementation options, our client
financial institutions can select an imaging solution that is
tailor-made to their own unique item processing requirements and desired
method of utilization.”
“We
are excited to be partnering with Lance and the DCM team,” said Bob
Darty, principal of BankWare. “As a trusted source to the financial
industry, DCM’s extensive check imaging experience is a tremendous
asset for their current and prospective check imaging clients. We look
forward to working closely with DCM to grow our mutual customer base and
enable more financial institutions to realize the advantages of
ImageCentre.”
The
alliance also provides for ImageCentre disaster recovery services to be
offered via DCM’s business recovery centers, ensuring ImageCentre
clients have a redundant, reliable, and local source for recovery in the
case of a disaster. DCM’s multiple business recovery centers also
compliment BankWare’s current disaster recovery services offered from
their Birmingham, AL based corporate headquarters. BankWare provides
comprehensive services for both core processing and item imaging, and
includes annual testing and certification.
